- Abstract
- A large team of botanists-systematists worked on the creation of the fundamental "Flora of the USSR". The names of the authors of the treatments are given in the relevant volumes with an indication of the taxa they processed. But the name of the author of the treatment of the family with the genera and in the 9th volume of this edition is missing. This forgotten author is Nikolai Petrovich Ikonnikov-Galitsky. He is not mentioned in the article by A.K. Sytin and D.D. Slastunov (Sytin, Slastunov, 2021). The reason for this will become clear from the biography of this botanist, most of the data about which is taken from his personal file, stored in the St. Petersburg Branch of the Archive of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SPbARAN), in the fund of the V.L. Komarov Botanical Institute (fund 273, inventory 3, file 531a).
